My jewelry design is informed by the love of art. I get excitied about all the ways gold, silver and stones could be used to create mood and stories.
I came to an understanding at the very intimate place jewelry holds in our lives, what it says about us, how it holds some of our dearest memories for us and keeps loved ones close.
So I used to carve every wax original entirely by hand. I have learned in the last couple of years how to operate with CAD CAM software and a mill that cuts beautiful and precise patterns. So, now really what I do is a combination of both. I may cut a wax and just use it as a base or template of sorts, then hand carve what does not necessarily translate in the machine.
